Ukrainian airlines to unite into single company

Deputy President’s Chief of Staff, ex-Minister of Transport Victor Bondar forecasts that the process of unification of Ukrainian airlines, which have state share holdings in their statutory funds, will start after the election to the Verkhovna Rada and after a new government is formed. He said this to journalists in Kyiv today.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, he stressed that the work over the unification has already started.

      At the same time, he added that private companies may as well join the process of airlines unification.

      As UNIAN reported earlier, as early as in December of 2005, the Transport Ministry claimed about its intent to set up a united powerful state airline by means of unifying the existing airlines.
