“Arteria-2007”, the most large-scale military training, in the course of which the readiness of the rear services to war will be inspected, will take place late in September.
According to the press-service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, DefMin Anantoliy Hrytsenko claimed this paying a visit to the Rivne target ground.
“Subdivisions of Land Forces, aircraft of the Air Forces, and the strategic element of the support system, that is, our rear, which was not inspected for more than 10 years, will be involved in the training, which will take place in the second half of September”, A.Hrytsenko added.
He stressed, the army without a rear is impossible, that is why a mobile airdrome, mobile pipelines, mobile repair plans, bakeries, laundry complexes, and even mobile hospitals, will be deployed during the training.
“In such a way we will check the readiness of our rear to a war”, the Minister stressed.
Besides, he added, within the frameworks of the training, they will organize landing of not only personnel, but also materiel.
“For the first time in the history, we will deploy more than 20 kilometers of a mobile system of pipelines for providing the troops with fuel, we will deploy a mobile hospital, and a repairs complex”, A.Hrytsenko emphasized.
Speaking about the main task of the training, the Ukrainian Defense Minister noted that during “Arteria-2007” they will work out the collaboration between the aircraft and the Land Forces for carrying out one of the seven tasks, specified in the Strategic Plan of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, confirmed by the President of Ukraine.
