Land at 2.2 billion hryvnias was sold in Ukraine in 2007

During seven months of the current year, 3.9 thousand hectares of allotments and tenant rights on them were sold in Ukraine at more than 2.2 billion hryvnias. This showing exceeds by 1.5 times the volumes of land sales of the last year.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, State Land Resources Agency of Ukraine chief Ihor Yatsuk disclosed this to journalists yesterday.

According to him, as of 1 August of 2007, during the validity period of the land reform, 38.5 thousand non-agricultural allotments nearly 20 thousand hectares by area, 5.2 billion hryvnias by cost, were prepared for sale.

I.Yatsuk stressed that the receipts from sales of allotments increased also due to carrying out land auctions.
