Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Hrytsenko and Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Akhundbala ogli Abiyev talked over the opportunity of setting up a joint peacemaking subdivision within the framework of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM.
An UNIAN correspondent was informed on that by Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Andriy Lysenko.
He specified that the tasks and structure of the future subdivision are to be agreed by the chiefs of general headquarters of the ODED-GUAM countries in Kyiv in mid-July.
A.Hrytsenko also proposed the Azeri Defense Minister to continue talking over this issue in Brussels (On June 8-9, A.Hrytsneko is due to take part in the Ukraine-NATO session at the level of Defense Ministers - UNIAN).
