Foreign Minister of Ukraine Borys Tarasyuk is convinced that the new government will confirm Ukraine’s intent to join NATO.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, B.Tarasyuk claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.
He also believes that this year Ukraine will be invited to take part in the Plan of Actions for joining NATO. “I also do not rule out that as early as in 2008 Ukraine may be invited to begin talks on the NATO membership”, he said.
B.Tarasyuk noted that the government undertakes energetic steps to develop the informational policy, aimed at giving Ukrainian citizens as much as possible reliable information about NATO and about the advantages of Ukraine’s collaborating with NATO.
