Government adopted Concept of national space program

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, with its decree, approved of the Concept of the national space program for 2007-2011.

      UNIAN was told about this at the governmental press-service.

      The Concept grounds the necessity of developing a target national space program.

      It proposes to set up a permanent group of Ukrainian space vehicles, and to launch them every 2-3 years. The document stipulates upgrading the existing rocket-carriers, with developing and creating the new ones.

      The Program will be financed at the expense of budget means, investments, and other sources.

      The preliminary volume of financing the Program makes 3.5 billion hryvnias.
