There is no bird flu in Ukraine

There is no bird flu in Ukraine, however, the Ukrainian veterinary service is alarmed with the situation in the neighbor countries.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, chief state veterinary inspector of Ukraine Ivan Bisiuk claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.

“As of today, Ukraine is free from the bird flu. The last case in Ukraine was recorded in the Kherson Oblast a month ago”, I.Bisiuk said.

At the same time, he stressed that the Veterinary service is concerned about the situation in Romania, where there are 116 settlements with bird flu.

I.Bisiuk noted that the vet service took radical measures in the near-border Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, and Odessa Oblasts.
