Only some 47.1% of Ukrainian citizens like living in Ukraine. These are the results of an all-Ukrainian poll within frameworks of annual research program “Mental Bases of Election”, carried out by the Kyiv Institute of Management Problems named after Gorshenin, and publicized at a press conference in UNIAN today.

Gorshenin Institute director Kost Bondarenko informed that, according to the results of the poll, every fourth Ukrainian citizen (some 27.2%) does not like living in Ukraine.

Out of those, who agree to leave Ukraine forever, the majority would like to live in the European Union. Some 34.6% of this category (more than half of them are representatives of the eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine) would agree to resettle to EU. The second place is occupied by Russia (some 28.1%). The least number would like to emigrate to USA (18.5%).

The poll was carried out during September 3-12 in 129 settlements of Ukraine. 2006 respondents aged over 18 years old were interviewed. The error margin does not exceed 2.2%.
