President Victor Yushchenko has sent letters to Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko and Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, acting chief of the Security Service of Ukraine, to say he is worried Ukraine might lose its stake in the Kryvy Rig Ore Mining and Processing Plant.

According to the President`s press-office, he demands that the Security Service and the Prosecutor General’s Office must investigate whether the State Property Fund adhered to the country’s laws when implementing the government’s July 2/2006 decree to make this plant a joint-stock company.
