Ukraine reduced gas transit by 17.3%

Ukrtranshaz subsidiary of Naftohaz of Ukraine NJSC, according to operative data, in January – September of this year, reduced the natural gas transit through the territory of Ukraine by 17.3%, compared with the same period of 2006 – to 79.725 billion cubic metres.

The recourse in the government disclosed this to UNIAN.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the press service of Naftohaz of Ukraine NJSC, the gas transit volumes through the Ukrainian territory in 2007 decreased due to the reduction of gas withdrawal by European consumers because of the abnormally warm weather.
