The government of Ukraine hopes that Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych, who claimed today about his eventual visit to Moscow to solve the gas problems, will bring “encouraging news” from there.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Top Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, claimed this to a press conference today.

“We hope that Victor Fedorovych [Yanukovych] will bring from Moscow encouraging news for our economics”, M.Azarov said.

Asked why namely the Prime Minister may leave for Moscow to solve the gas issue, while earlier M.Azarov stressed that this problem is “the problem of only economic subjects”, the Deputy Prime Minister said: “The task of the Prime Minister is to agree at a high level the general conditions of gas supplies”.
