Five people, including three children, died as a result of a traffic accident in the Kirovohrad Oblast.
According to the press-service of the State Motor Inspecting Department of Ukraine, the tragedy took place near Severynka village, 20 km from Kirovohrad city, at 7.30 a.m. today. Two passenger cars – an Opel-Vectra and a VAZ-2105, collided head-on at a highway, killing the driver and four passengers of VAZ-2105, including two children aged under three years old, and a child aged under 14. Another woman, passenger of this car, was taken to hospital with serious injures.
Police investigators, Interior Ministry Kirovohrad Oblast Directorate chiefs, and Oblast Motor Inspecting Department chiefs are investigating into the tragedy at the scene.
According to preliminary information, the traffic accident killed a whole family.
