According to the press service of the Fuel and Energy Ministry of Ukraine, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Ukrainian Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuri Boyko held a working meeting on Monday and coordinated a schedule of payments for the natural gas that was delivered to Ukraine this year.

Commenting the negotiations of the sides in the air of “Vesti” information television channel, Gazprom official spokesman Sergey Kuprianov noted: “One may say that the negotiations, which were held today (October 8 – UNIAN) for the whole day, have brought the result that the scheme was principally agreed”.

According to his words, the negotiations concerning the gas supplies to Ukraine for 2008 are scheduled for October – November.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 2 Gazprom threatened to stop supplying gas to Ukraine unless a $1.3bn (£650m) bill was paid this month.
