President Victor Yushchenko has presented the Order of State to actress Ada Rohovtseva for her “selfless service to Ukraine… and for the promotion of the ideals of spiritual beauty, human dignity and good”, according to the President`s press-office.
“The words I am going to say to you are not unusual because millions of people can say the same thing: Ada Mykolayivna, I love you,” he said during a benefit performance to celebrate Rohovtseva’s 70th birthday in the Ivan Franko Theatre on Friday, thanking the actress for her roles, which “help people to understand what is good and what is bad, what is worthy, what is decent.”
He described Rohovtseva’s performances and films as a ”school of perfection and a wonderful compliment to the Ukrainian nation.”
