The talks on the Ukraine’s WTO accession have opened in Bishkek (the capital of the Kirghiz Republic) today. A Ukrainian delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, and a Kirghiz delegation, headed by Economics and Finance Minister Akilbek Zhaparov, take part in the talks.

According to the press-service of the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, the Ukrainian side is also represented by Foreign Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.

In the course of the talks, the sides are expected to discuss ways of solving financial claims of Kirghizia to Ukraine, to find a compromise solution of anti-damping measures of Ukraine against Kirghiz electric lamps, as well as to solve other pressing issues of the bilateral relations. On the results of talks, the Ukrainian side proposes to initial a bipartite protocol on the access to markets of goods and services – the last Ukraine’s protocol with a  country – member of the WTO Working Group.

The Ukrainian delegation will also meet with President of Kirghizia Kurmanbek Bakiyev and FM Ednan Karabayev.
