Kyiv Appeal Court postponed consideration of Gongadze case till 13 Dec
Due to the illness of convict Mykola Protasov
The Kyiv Appeal Court today ruled to postpone till 13 December, 2007, the hearing on Gongadze case due to the illness of convict Mykola Protasov.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Myroslava Gongadze’s lawyer Valentyna Telychenko disclosed this to journalists today.
According to her, today the trial was about to study the results of the psychological-psychiatric expertise of M.Protasov and psychological expertises of convicts Valeriy Kostenko and Oleksander Popovych.
However, in the beginning of the trial, judge Iryna Hryhoryeva informed that the court received a letter from doctors, who informed that M.Protasov will not be able to take part in the trial due to the bad state of his health.
This was the reason why judges decided to postpone the trial till 13 December.
The trial on the Gongadze case will resume on 13 December, 2008, at 10.30 a.m..
