Tight Knot-2006 training begins in Mykolayiv Oblast

Tight Knot-2006 exercises of the Ukrainian Air Force begin at Kulbakino air base and Kyivo-Oleksandrivka aircraft target ground in the Mykolayiv Oblast today.

      According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s press-service, since the parliament has not considered as yet the draft law, allowing foreign military subdivisions to train at the Ukrainian territory, the exercises will be carried out without British pilots.

      The theme of the training is “Fulfilling peacemaking tasks by multi-national forces”. The main aim of the training is to work out collaboration between different kinds of aircraft during peacemaking and anti-terrorist operations under the aegis of UN.

      The training will last for three days.
