During joint press conference with Lech Kaczyński, President of Poland, President Victor Yushchenko advised the Ukrainian politicians not to politicize the issue of natural gas supply, according to the President`s press-office. “These questions must lie exclusively within professional scope, instead of being politically speculated over”, - said V. Yushchenko answering the question of journalists on natural gas prices in 2008.
At the same time President admitted that the new prices on natural gas shall be challenging for Ukrainian economy. “These prices demand once again to revise energy consuming policy, especially in municipal, private and industrial sector”.
V. Yushchenko also informed that Ukrainian transit trade policy shall be put on agenda of Kyiv International Energy Summit in March 2008.
