In his letter of December 27 to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko President Victor Yushchenko drew Y.Tymoshenko’s attention to the issues in governing land resources, according to the President`s press-office.
According to President during last years the situation around land operation has aggravated. Land reform has not been finished, provisions of the Land Code on single legislative basis for protection of citizens and legal entities rights as well as regarding rational land use are disobeyed. Legal situation with land trading has not been settled either.
Also President noted that due to lack of systematic measures on fighting violation of land legislation corruption flourishes.
Regarding this V. Yushchenko considers necessary to:
work out a plan of transferring coordinative role of main executive body on land resources actions to Cabinet of Ministers
take necessary measures to improve technical and financial support for state bodies on land issues
make necessary staff rearrangements within central and regional bodies of main executive body on land resources
resolve vagueness issues with State inspection on land use and protection subordination
President requested to inform him on the results of the conducted work before February 1, 2008.
