“Ukraine will have direct contracts with Russia without mediators and, probably, with other countries supplying gas,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed by her live in the programme “I think so” on “1+1” TV channel, according to the government’s press-office.
Yulia Tymoshenko underscored that she advocates direct inter-government gas agreements that will permit to determine a compromise gas price for Ukraine.
At that the Head of Government noted that “RosUkrEnergo” company would not act on the Ukrainian market with its subsidiary companies.
At the same time Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that, first of all, it is necessary to work out a model of transferring to direct gas supplies in order not to disrupt stability of supplying Russian gas to Europe, not to ruin stability in Ukraine”. “A serious team and I are thinking it over now, how to eliminate “RosUkrEnergo” preventing destabilization consequences,” the Head of Government said.
Yulia Tymoshenko also stressed: “Give time to understand things of NJSC “Naftogaz Ukrainy”, negotiate with Russia, clear up economic value of gas and I will not only give you an answer – after that we’ll take all necessary decisions to make this answer adequate”.
