Ukraine`s accedence to NATO to be settled at referendum - Tymoshenko

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko believes that Ukraine’s accedence to NATO should be settled at national referendum after conducting a serious work on explaining to the citizens of Ukraine goals and tasks of the North-Atlantic Alliance, according to the government’s press-office.

The Head of Government disclosed this by her live in a special presentation of the programme “I think so” on “1+1” TV channel.

The Prime Minister noted that as a result of “inadequate information campaign” concerning NATO there is low level of social support for accedence to the alliance in Ukraine. “With this purpose, I want us to begin from fundamental explanatory work,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
