During the meeting with administrative-economic representatives of Dnipropetrovsk region Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko tasked the State Tax Administration and State Customs Service to increase budget earnings of taxes and custom duties twofold at the least. “I want you set yourself a task – to raise taxes twofold at the least,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed, according to the government’s press-office.
The Head of Government emphasized that there is a system of evading taxes in the state and uncertainty of this problem may result in deficit of state budget.
According to the Prime Minister, soon the Government intends to start monitoring of information about paying taxes by the Ukrainian enterprises and compare it with taxes of similar enterprises in other countries.
In particular, Yulia Tymoshenko noted that tax load at the Ukrainian ore mining and processing enterprises is less as against similar enterprises in other CIS countries. “This is a direct tax evasion,” she said.
