Russia’s accedence to WTO critically important for Ukraine – Yatseniuk
The Ukrainian Speaker supports Russia
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine chairman Arseniy Yatseniuk claims that the Russia’s accedence to WTO is critically important for Ukraine.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this in an interview with Chernomorska television.
According to the Speaker, there is a good chance that as early as on February 5, the World Trade Organization General Council will make a positive decision on Ukraine.
A.Yatseniuk noted that Russia has not joined WTO as yet not because it does not want to, but because its structure of economics is rather different. “Russia can afford itself not to join WTO”, he said, adding that, at the same time, it is critically important for Ukraine that Russia become a WTO member.
“We will be in equal conditions, and we will have an unbiased and clear ground for solving all commercial disputes”, the Speaker noted.
A.Yatseniuk stressed that Ukraine “must do everything” for Russia to join WTO as soon as possible.
