Yushchenko wants to defend businessmen from tyranny of officials

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko calls on law-enforcement agencies to defend businessmen from tyranny of officials.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this speaking at “Power and Business – Partners” All-Ukrainian Forum in Kyiv today.

“I would like to raise the issue of protecting businessmen from the tyranny of officials”, he said.

He noted that the forum must give answer to the question how to defend property rights and establish the rule of law in the sphere of entrepreneurship.

Victor Yushchenko added that, as of today, there is an excess of state inspections and supervision over business activities in Ukraine.

According to him, around 40 state institutions are busy with inspections in Ukraine presently.
