President Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter today to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, according to the President`s press-office.
In his letter the President expressed his concerns about Cabinet of Ministers activity on national grain market development. Measures aimed at that are stated in the corresponding President’s Decree. Besides V. Yushchenko considers Cabinet of Ministers’ reporting on the work done in this area inappropriate.
To the President the regulations in the Decree urgent for implementation are:
taking measures on social protection of citizens by revising food products list which is used for calculating subsistence wages
maintaining sufficient state support of agricultural goods producers after Ukraine’s accession to the WTO
working out draft laws on modifying taxation in the agriculture sector
enhancing procedure of substantiation of the decisions on agricultural products export limits
The Prime Minister is to supervise the implementation of the Decree in person and inform the President on the results in a one month term.
