“This was really a historical event, our team, which has been working in all governments and in parliament, applied efforts to achieve that goal. I believe that after our accession to WTO, absolutely new opportunities for Ukraine’s adapting to the world trading space have opened”, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the next step after Ukraine’s joining WTO will be the talks on creating a free trade zone with the European Union.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 5, President Victor Yushchenko and Director-General of the World Trade Organization Pascal Lamy signed the Protocols of Ukraine’s accession for membership in the WTO.
