Some 58% of Ukrainians celebrate the St.Valentine’s Day.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, these are the data of a poll, carried out by Reserch&Branding Group company, publicized at a press conference in Kyiv today.
At the same time, according to the results of the poll, some 38% do not celebrate this holiday, and some 4% could not answer the question.
The most popular gifts on this day in Ukraine are candies, perfumes, and souvenirs.
Thus, some 17% of those polled are going to present candies, cakes, or sweets; some 12% - perfumes and cosmetics, some 11% - souvenirs, some 9% - flowers, some 4% - toys, some 4% - trinkets, some 2% said their present is a secret, some 7% do not have people to make presents, some 28% are not going to make presents, some 11% will make other gifts, and some 11% could not answer the question.
The poll was carried out during February 1-8 in 24 Oblasts of Ukraine and Crimea. The error margin makes 2.2%.
