President draws PM`s attention to bookselling problems
Since 1990, the number of bookshops in Ukraine has decreased nine times
President Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter today to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
In his letter President drew Prime Minister’s attention to problems in national bookselling network, according to the President`s press-office.
According to V. Yushchenko since 1990 the number of bookshops in Ukraine has decreased nine times and is currently equals to about 400. “Such condition of bookselling network can not fully satisfy the need for Ukrainian books”, - wrote President in his letter.
Regarding that V. Yushchenko asked Y. Tymoshenko to make appropriate steps to increase a number of bookselling shops in Ukraine with adopting a corresponding Cabinet of Ministers regulation.
