Over 40 people who found themselves stuck at the neutral zone of the Novotroyitske checkpoint in Donbas after it turned out they are unable to install a government-mandated GPS tracking app, will be sent for a two-week observation to one of the designated locations.

People have been provided with transport and food, as reported by the press service of Donetsk Regional State Administration.

All citizens from the temporarily occupied territory shall undergo body temperature screening and surveys regarding their contacts with people infected with COVID-19.

These people are allowed to enter Ukraine only if they agree to undergo observation or self-isolation with the use of the Dii Vdoma GPS tracking app.

As UNIAN reported earlier, citizens were allowed to pass through the Stanytsia Luhanska and Maryinka entry and exit checkpoints on June 10. The entry and exit checkpoints in Donbas and the de-facto border with the occupied Crimea have been closed down due to the coronavirus-related quarantine since mid-March.
