Almost thousand new COVID-19 cases reported in Ukraine

Ukraine has reported 42,982 coronavirus cases since the outbreak of a pandemic.

Over the past day, 917 new active cases were lab-confirmed, the National Security and Defense Council's monitoring system says.

A record 237 patients were hospitalized over the past 24 hours.

The total death toll has reached 1,129 (+19 in past day).

Recoveries amount to 18,934 (+233 in past day).

Also, over 87,000 suspected cases are yet to be checked.

As of the morning of June 28, a total of 9,979,535 COVID-19 cases were reported worldwide, with the daily rise of 177,963.
