Over 50 towns and villages in Ukraine have reported power cuts after the safety system was activated amid the bad weather, namely strong winds, rain, thunderstorm.

In particular, the electricity supply was disrupted in 23 towns and villages in Chernihiv region, 13 in Rivne region, 10 in Sumy region, three in Volyn region, and three in Chernivtsi region, the State Emergency Service's press service has said.

Regional energy distribution companies deployed their repair teams to eliminate the aftermath of the blackouts.

Weather conditions in Ukraine are expected to deteriorate in central regions on July 30, a storm warning has been issued.
