Kharkiv Governor Oleksiy Kucher has reported a coronavirus outbreak in a regional center for mental health as 11 new cases have been confirmed.

The cases recorded in the center account for half of the number of all newly confirmed cases in the region, he said on Facebook on April 26.

In the past day, 22 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Kharkiv region, bringing the total number to 147, incuding two deaths. Fifteen patients have recovered.

According to Kucher, 75 coronavirus patients with the confirmed diagnosis are now in hospital, one of them is in intensive care; 55 are self-isolating.

Of the suspected cases, 105 people have been hospitalized, and 24 are self-isolating.

As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 8,617 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 209 deaths, in Ukraine as of 09:30 a.m. Kyiv time on April 26.
