Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has listed four regions that are in the lead by the number of new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the past day.

"In terms of the regions, the highest number of confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Lviv region (197 cases), Rivne region (70), Ivano-Frankivsk region (64), and the city of Kyiv (116)," he said during an online briefing on July 16, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
In total, 27,413 tests were conducted in the country in the past day. In particular, there were 13,013 tests done with the use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and 14,400 with the application of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 56,455 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of the morning of July 16. They include 1,445 deaths and 28,931 recoveries. Some 848 new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
