Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said the easing of quarantine measures introduced over the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus will start from May 11.

"We understand that people are tired of quarantine, and I want to emphasize once again: every day we analyze the situation and prepare the easing of quarantine measures from May 11. All our actions are based on the opinions of experts, the opinions of epidemiologists, the opinions of our virologists who know how to behave in such situations – the pandemic that now exists in Ukraine," he said during an online briefing on Friday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

"On May 11, we will start easing, since today the situation allows doing this. These easing steps that we will do, they will be based on the data that we have, and we will be sure these our actions will not worsen the situation in the future," Stepanov said.
