Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has listed the regions that are in the lead by the number of new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the past day.
"Speaking per each region, the highest number of confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in the capital city of Kyiv (182 cases), Lviv region (166), Kharkiv region (139), Ivano-Frankivsk region (128), and Chernivtsi region (113)," he said during an online briefing on August 12, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

In total, 38,487 tests were conducted in the country in the past day. In particular, there were 19,380 tests done with the use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and 18,107 with the application of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.
As UNIAN reported earlier, 1,433 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Ukraine in the past 24 hours as of August 12, 2020.
