The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine rose by two as of the morning of May 7.

In particular, a soldier in Odesa region and an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region are undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors. Currently, their state of health is satisfactory, they receive the necessary treatment, according to the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 7, some 29 people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. In addition, 52 people recovered and two died during the pandemic," reads the report.

Some 223 servicemen are now isolated (including self-isolation). The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 63 people.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Public Health Center, there were 13,691 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on May 7. Of them, 340 were fatalities, 2,396 patients have recovered. Some 507 new cases were recorded in the past day.
