The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine exceeded 13,100 on Wednesday morning.

"According to the Public Health Center, there were to 13,184 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on May 6," Ukraine's Health Ministry said on Facebook in its morning update on May 6.

Of them, 487 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

Now the novel coronavirus was recorded in the following regions: 472 cases in Vinnytsia region; 359 in Volyn region; 568 in Dnipropetrovsk region; 85 in Donetsk region; 456 in Zhytomyr region; 572 in Zakarpattia region; 298 in Zaporizhia region; 1,037 in Ivano-Frankivsk region; 402 in Kirovohrad region; 1,651 in the city of Kyiv; 891 in Kyiv region; 553 in Lviv region; 42 in Luhansk region; 165 in Mykolayiv region; 505 in Odesa region; 232 in Poltava region; 787 in Rivne region; 130 in Sumy region; 935 in Ternopil region; 403 in Kharkiv region; 143 in Kherson region; 134 in Khmelnytsky region; 1,985 in Chernivtsi region; 314 in Cherkasy region; 65 in Chernihiv region.

Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.

The tests were conducted by the Public Health Center's virological reference laboratory and regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 6, 2020, the Center had received 1,411 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases. In total, there have been 34,722 reports on suspected COVID-19 since the beginning of 2020.

A total of 327 COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded in the country. Some 2,097 patients have recovered.
