The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine exceeded 91,000 cases.
Ukraine's authorities as of the morning of August 16 reported 1,637 new active COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 91,356, according to the updated data provided by the National Security and Defense Council.
Twenty-four people died of the coronavirus in the past day, thus the death toll increased to 2,068 people.
The number of recoveries grew by 392, to 47,822 people.
There were 41,466 active cases as of August 16; over 148,000 patients were suspected cases.

Today, most of the coronavirus cases were recorded in Lviv region (11,951), the city of Kyiv (10,538), Chernivtsi region (7,617), Rivne region (7,538), and Ivano-Frankivsk region (6,626).
