Some 1,106 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 63,929 as of the morning of July 25.

"According to the Public Health Center, there were 63,929 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of 09:00 Kyiv time on July 25. Of them, 1,106 cases were reported in the past 24 hours," Ukraine's Health Ministry said on Facebook in its morning update on July 25.

The death toll in Ukraine now is 1,590 people, including 19 who died in the past 24 hours.

As many as 35,497 patients, including 611 in the past day, have already recovered.

The number of active COVID-19 cases as of the morning of July 25 was 26,842.

The highest number of new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Rivne region (143 cases), the city of Kyiv (129), and Lviv region (114).

The overall incidence per region is as follows:

8,702 (+114) cases in Lviv region;

7,525 (+129) in the city of Kyiv;

5,548 (+63) in Chernivtsi region;

5,303 (+143) in Rivne region;

4,774 (+68) in Zakarpattia region;

3,937 (+85) in Ivano-Frankivsk region;

3,503 (+57) in Volyn region;

3,461 (+40) in Kyiv region;

3,342 (+65) in Kharkiv region;

2,846 (+97) in Odesa region;

2,672 (+68) in Ternopil region;

2,512 (+57) in Vinnytsia region;

1,691 (+21) in Zhytomyr region;

1,317 (+15) in Dnipropetrovsk region;

1,037 (+16) in Khmelnytsky region;

897 (+9) in Cherkasy region;

842 (+12) in Donetsk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts);

725 (+13) in Zaporizhia region;

690 (+1) in Kirovohrad region;

690 (+11) in Chernihiv region;

539 (+3) in Mykolayiv region;

411 (+14) in Sumy region;

388 (+10) in Poltava region;

219 (+1) in Kherson region; and

119 (+1) in Luhansk region (Ukrainian-controlled districts).

Data from Russia-occupied areas – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions – is not available.

As UNIAN reported earlier, there were 62,823 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine as of the morning of July 24. They include 1,571 deaths and 34,886 recoveries. Some 972 new cases were recorded on that day.
