Some 1,022 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 67,597 as of the morning of July 29.

The death toll is 1,650, including 21 fatalities in the past 24 hours, according to the interactive map by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council.

As many as 37,394 patients, including 650 in the past day, have already recovered.

Over the past day, most COVID-19 cases were recorded in Lviv region (149), the capital city of Kyiv (132), and Ivano-Frankivsk region (118).

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine on July 28 reported 919 new COVID-19 cases.
