Ukrainian MP from the Batkivshchyna Party's parliamentary faction Vadym Ivchenko has said leader of the Batkivshchyna Party, Ukrainian MP Yulia Tymoshenko, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus, is in critical condition.
"Yulia Tymoshenko is in critical condition, she has a high temperature. She is taking all the appropriate measures to ventilate the lungs, but this is not a ventilator, these are other appropriate devices that must be used in accordance with the protocol," he told Ukraine 24 TV channel.
Tymoshenko contracted COVID-19
- On August 23, Tymoshenko's press secretary said the leader of the Batkivshchyna Party had tested positive for COVID-19.
- Tymoshenko's daughter Eugenia, as well as Eugenia's husband Arthur Chechetkin, also fell ill, according to media reports.
- On August 25, it was reported the politician was on a ventilator.
