Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has announced a certain improvement in coronavirus-related statistics in Ukraine.

Speaking during a regular video conference chaired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Stepanov said this is evidenced by a decrease in the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 over the past week, as reported by the presidential press service.
In turn, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that according to the statistics, Lviv (99 people) and Zakarpattia (79 people) regions had become the leaders in terms of new cases in the past day.
As UNIAN reported earlier, 612 new cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 were reported in Ukraine in the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 54,133 as of the morning of July 13.
