Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak has tested positive for COVID-19.

"Having tested positive for the coronavirus [COVID-19] disease, Khomchak is in self-isolation for two weeks. His condition is satisfactory," Head of the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Bohdan Senyk told UNIAN.

  • Ukraine said 2,582 new active COVID-19 cases had been confirmed across the country in the past 24 hours as of September 10, 2020.
  • The total number of confirmed cases grew to 145,612.
  • There were 76,712 active cases as of September 10.
  • The death toll is 3,023 with 44 fatalities recorded in the past day.
