Health minister: Over 14,800 children, 16,300 healthcare workers contract COVID-19

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 14,841 children and 16,387 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the epidemic.

"In the past day, 3,774 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 196 children and 156 healthcare workers. Some 475 new patients were hospitalized. There were 33 deaths and 1,145 recoveries," he said at a briefing on October 5, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 101,252 patients have already recovered.
