Health minister: Over 15,200 children, 16,800 healthcare workers contract COVID-19

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 15,259 children and 16,864 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the epidemic.

"In the past day, 4,753 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 219 children and 251 healthcare workers. Some 730 new patients were hospitalized. There were 77 deaths and 2,569 recoveries," he said at a briefing on October 7, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 105,970 patients have already recovered.
