Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 7,362 children and 10,614 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.

Some 296 new patients were hospitalized. There were 25 deaths and 346 recoveries," he said at a briefing on August 25, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.
The overall death toll is 2,318 people.
As many as 52,870 patients have already recovered.
Background
Ukraine said 1,658 new active COVID-19 cases had been confirmed across the country in the past 24 hours as of August 25, 2020.
The total number of confirmed cases grew to 108,415.
