Ukraine's health minister: Over 7,700 children, 11,000 healthcare workers contract COVID-19

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 7,743 children and 11,084 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.

"In the past day, 2,481 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 127 children and 120 healthcare workers. Some 450 new patients were hospitalized. There were 41 deaths and 1,055 recoveries," he said at a briefing on August 29, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 56,138 patients have already recovered.
