Health minister: Over 9,200 children, 12,300 healthcare workers contract COVID-19

Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says 9,236 children and 12,306 healthcare workers have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the start of the pandemic.

"In the past day, 2,551 people tested positive for the coronavirus, including 160 children and 135 healthcare workers. Some 389 new patients were hospitalized. There were 45 deaths and 1,157 recoveries," he said at a briefing on September 9, as reported by the Health Ministry on Facebook.

As many as 64,703 patients have already recovered.
