Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says the COVID-19 death rate in Ukraine is just over 2%.

"Health Minister Maksym Stepanov says the fatality rate over COVID-19 in Ukraine is low so far, just over 2%," he said at a President Zelensky-chaired intercom meeting on the fight against the coronavirus, the press service of the Office of the President said on April 27.

Stepanov has added that the authorities expect the incidence to peak in early May

As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Ukraine rose by 392 in the past day, to 9,009, as of the morning of April 27.

That's including 220 fatalities and 864 recoveries, according to the Public Health Center.
