Zelensky: First wave of coronavirus in Ukraine over
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the first wave of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine is over.
"I think we will be able to get out of all stages of the coronavirus [crisis] in a month if there is no second wave. Because we have passed the first wave. I'm sure of that," he said at a press conference on the first year of his presidency, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Ukraine exceeded 19,200 on Wednesday morning. A total of 564 COVID-19 deaths have already been recorded in the country. Some 5,955 patients have recovered.
